It's just an extension of that USA "baby shower" thing innit. It's private enterprise! A clever businessman/woman spotted a niche in the market & developed this idea of selling 3-D baby scans .


The mum gets lots of ppl fussing over her & her baby, which mums like.
& private enterprise gets a fistful of dollars. Everyone is happy.
You only live once, but once is enough if you get it right.
