ABOUT ME

About Me

My name is Cheryl,  I am a qualified experienced counsellor running a private practice in Mangotsfield, Bristol.  My therapeutic focus is on helping people being challenged by:
  • Bereavement
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Life Transitions
  • Relationship Issues
  • Loss and Grief
  • Abuse
  • Self Esteem Issues
Sometimes it is easier to talk to someone who is not part of your everyday life; someone who is qualified in helping you explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours, and helping you to find different perspectives and meaning.  I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental relationship to enable you to explore the things that matter to you.

"I believe that changes that come from within can be empowering and profoundly life changing"

The aim of our sessions is to help you have a better understanding of yourself, and support you alongside your counselling journey.

Integrative-Relational Counselling

As a qualified integrative counsellor, I work from a person-centred base to ensure each session is a safe space that respects your thoughts and knowledge.

Working together we can explore your feelings and concerns and we will move at a pace that suits you.   When you are ready we will work towards an understanding of issues, gaining strength, and exploring coping strategies if needed.  I recognise that every individual is different and I am able to draw on my skills as a Counsellor and use a range of theories which might be suitable (Psychodynamic, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Person Centred) This will enable an individual therapeutic relationship to develop according to your own needs.

I specialise in working with families whose children have a Special Educational Need and/or Disability (SEND). This area can be particularly rewarding watching parents/carers autonomy and resilience grow.

Please contact me if you would like some more information about me or about how therapy might be beneficial to you.  An initial assessment session will be held to enable us to discuss you individual needs and issues.
